Every Thursday night all summer long, the Horseshoe on Main Street turns into a beachfront dance party with the Music on Main Concert Series. These live outdoor performances bring beach tunes, classic hits, and dancing vibes to Ocean Drive. And the best part? It’s free. Be sure to grab a lawn or beach chair, stop by Melt for some ice cream, and enjoy the evening with the family dancing the evening away. We do recommend arriving early to secure a parking spot and a good location near the stage.
Stretching out into the Atlantic Ocean, the Cherry Grove Pier is a local landmark and is a great place to snap panoramic photos of the coastline. There is a small fee for fishing, strolling the pier, and soaking in the views is free. One of our resorts, Prince Resort, is adjacent to the pier, so you’ll be even closer to enjoy if you stay there. Even if you’re not, it’s still worth a visit to check out the stunning pier with the family this summer.
For those who are looking to enjoy some fresh air but not on the beach, check out the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. With so many outdoor activities at the complex, your family can enjoy a long walk around one of the lakes on the walking paths.
